Shelton Group and Silicon Border Re-Engage Partnership

 

DALLAS (February 18, 2009) – Shelton Group, an integrated communications firm providing customized programs for strategic public relations (PR) and investor relations (IR), has re-engaged its prior partnership with Silicon Border, a science and technology park located in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico.

The two companies initially partnered in 2005 to launch the company and its initiatives. Due to overwhelming growth and development for Silicon Border, the company elected to re-engage with Shelton Group to help communicate its expanding growth strategy for new market segments.

Silicon Border recently announced a joint venture agreement with ING to build the state-of-the-art science and technology park that will focus on semiconductor, solar, nanotechnology, aerospace, flat panel display/LCD and medical device manufacturers. The park also received a multi-billion dollar investment from Q-Cells, the world’s largest solar manufacturing company. Silicon Border plans to be the only science park providing a total infrastructure solution to technology companies and duty free access to various global markets. The park will become the cornerstone to turn Mexicali, Mexico and the Southern California region into a dominant player in the aforementioned markets. Additionally, the park’s location provides a gateway for North America to become a global leader in capital intensive, high technology manufacturing.
